Updated March 2026

Café Restaurant Meyer Amsterdam
On Amstelveld, where you could always find Nel, there’s now a new hotspot: Meyer. They’re open every day of the week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and of course they have a big sunny terrace.

Bouillon d’Amsterdam
French comfort food with an Amsterdam twist can be found at this new gem. The owners were inspired by the bouillons in Paris; places where you could eat simple, affordable meals. They’re located in a beautiful building on the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal.

House of Noa
Bellow the Beurs van Berlage you can enjoy a delicious omakase-inspired menu by none other than Ken (from Ken Sushi). The restaurant is a collaboration between The Seafood Bar and Ken Sush and a very fun one at that. Besides great food, the interior is amazing and there’s even a dance floor!

De Pimpelmees
Not far from Westerpark you’ll find this brand-new wine bar! Open 7 days a week with the cozy vibe of a true neighborhood café.

Enoteca De Olyphant
A new European bistro with strong Italian influences where everything revolves around pure flavors, good wines, and warm hospitality. The menu isn’t strictly Italian, but the dishes are cooked in the spirit of Italy: simple, high-quality ingredients and lots of flavor.

Café Restaurant Dame aan de Kade
Expect a 70s-style interior and a bar for the whole neighborhood, where they pour natural wines and serve Mediterranean comfort food. After dinner you can easily stay a while longer, because the vibe shifts more towards a bar later in the evening.

Ceintuur Theater
This used to be a place for film and theatre, and now you can enjoy great food here! You can visit this special building for breakfast, brunch, and dinner. You might also recognize it from Coffee & Coconuts, which used to be here. Expect a Mediterranean menu and cozy vibes.

Tip if you’re looking for a workspace in the city: for €9.50 per day you can sit here with unlimited coffee, fresh fruit, and WiFi.

Nido Cocktailbar
A Spanish-Mediterranean cocktail bar with 360-degree views, as the space is almost entirely made of glass. It’s located on the Linnaeusstraat in Oost. The menu features interesting cocktails like the Cheese3 with Basque cheese, the Fig Off with tequila, coffee and beetroot, as well as all the classics.

Café Susy
The owners of YUSU have now opened Café Susy, with an interesting mix of Brazilian and Surinamese cuisine. It has the same vibe as YUSU. You can stop by during the day for a good coffee or matcha, and in the evening for dishes like tapioca and bami kouseband.

Janine Bakery & Restaurant
A restaurant with a bakery at the front, music to our ears. We haven’t tried it yet, but everything from the bakery looks fantastic.

Eurosoft Café
You’ll now find this great café inside the Benelux Bar in Noord. Expect freshly baked bread, great sandwiches, and food from EuroPizza. They’re open from Wednesday to Sunday.

Bar Buuf
We love places with a cozy, homey atmosphere like this. As they say themselves: enjoying without the fuss. It’s all about good food and great wines, and you can come here for lunch and dinner.

Kamer Bar
An intimate setting with the feel of a classic brown café, a menu full of natural wines, and a shared dining & grill concept. There are only 32 seats, so it’s a small setting, and there’s an open kitchen. Of course, you’ll find this gem in the Jordaan.
