A great new Italian restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam. Owned by three Italians who bring the real taste of Italy to your table. Their motto is ‘always from scratch,’ which we love to hear! All the pasta, bread, pizza dough, sauces, and desserts are homemade. And let’s not forget about the interior—it looks amazing!

Massalia

Chef Angelo Kremmydas, founder of Gitane in Oud-West, has opened a new hotspot! This chef’s roots are in Greece. The French city of Marseille was originally founded by the Greeks, and that’s his inspiration! So, expect Greek dishes with a cozy bistro twist.

Caffe Combo

A new cozy café on the Amstelveenseweg! Expect a casual Mediterranean eatery with Asian vibes. Music is a big part of the atmosphere in this café.

Phono Lake

Not a restaurant, but definitely a place you’ll want on your radar! This nightclub is located in the boathouse by the Sloterplas. Make a note of it because it’s rumored to become the new hotspot for Friday and Saturday nights.

Warung Pas

At Indonesian pop-up restaurant Warung Pas, you can enjoy authentic Indonesian dishes based on family recipes from owner Petra. Warung Pas is divided into an Indo Mie stall and the main restaurant. In the restaurant, you’ll find delicious comfort food, with a menu that changes every two weeks. The pop-up, located above Sexyland, will be open until the end of December 2024, so don’t miss out!

Brio Amsterdam

The popular brunch spot Little Collins has a new sister! This time, the owners are taking us on an Italian adventure. Located in the Pijp, you can enjoy delicious brunch on the weekends, along with dinner options. Don’t miss out on this exciting new addition!

BunBun

At BunBun in the Jordaan, you can indulge if you love cinnamon buns! They offer a wide variety of flavors, from sweet to savory. Think pistachio, goat cheese, bacon & cheese, or fresh strawberries. It’s a treat for every cinnamon bun lover!

De Zingende Zwaan

Located in Oud-West, this spot is inspired by an English pub and boasts a lovely interior. We’ve had a sneak peek inside, and we’re excited! Expect dishes from both French and English cuisines, along with a friendly neighborhood vibe. It’s sure to be a great place to relax and enjoy a meal!

Amsterdam City Farm Tasting Room & Restaurant

With space for 30 guests, the Prinsengracht now has a charming dining room right next to Kiki at the Prinsensluis! This eatery has a dining room just like the ones you find in England, focusing on simple, honest food with great flavor. Their specialties? Meat and fish!

With a cool interior with lots of wood, you can visit this place all day! They serve delicious sandwiches, snacks, and a shared dining menu. For great coffee, this is the place to be. They use beans from Friethads, a well-known roastery in Amsterdam.

Leo Goudvisch 

Swing by for a fresh cup of coffee, stay for a nice lunch on their sunny terrace, and end the evening with a strong drink at the bar. Everyone is welcome, any time of the day, at the newest addition by the Goudvisch family (known from Bar Bonnie, Arie, Polly Goudvisch, etc.

Cafe Freddy

A new local pub in the heart of De Pijp! Enjoy typical Dutch food or try something like rendang, it’s all possible. The pub is decorated like a typical Amsterdam pub, which we absolutely love.

A restaurant, cocktail bar and a club all in one! It’s a blend of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine. From 22:00 the DJ makes sure you will join the dancefloor!

An old metal workshop transformed into a cozy restaurant with authentic Amsterdam North vibes. Enjoy a 3-course menu here; the menu is refreshed every month. They also have a delightful sunny terrace right next to the water! We’re already fans.

Amazing Korean food, a lively bar and an art gallery. What do you want more? They serve classic Korean dishes like Kimchi, Bulgogi, and Bibimbap, paired with handcrafted cocktails and a curated selection of wines and spirits in their cozy bar.

Barracuda Bar

The hugely popular (and really good) seafood restaurant Barracuda has launched a new concept, and it’s quite something! It’s a great waterfront spot serving delicious drinks and snacks. Outside, you can rent beach loungers for €15, perfect by the water.

Tiny Danser

In this trendy Italian bar & trattoria, indulge in delicious classics like ravioli stuffed with roasted potatoes, cacio e pepe with fig leaf oil, and sea bass crudo with preserved lemon. Great new spot right on the Dappermarket!

Shu Amsterdam

This new gem is certainly an exclusive high-energy cocktail club! You’re welcome from 25+, which is just what we’ve been missing in the city. And just take a look at that interior.

Tannay

De Gouden Real has been upgraded and is now called Tannay. We were already fans of De Gouden Real and are very curious about the new concept. The menu is inspired by the roots of the new chef: Burgundy. It is located in a beautiful historic building and features a lovely sunny terrace. We will definitely visit soon!

Nonna Amsterdam

Italian food prepared just like you would expect an Italian grandma to cook for you. The ambiance is warm and homely, with beautifully set tables outside featuring a red and white checkered tablecloth and genuine classics on the menu. Open 7 days a week, walk-ins only.

Lera Matcha

Matcha, coffee, and a stunning interior! They use the best quality matcha and offer all kinds of matcha treats. Besides that they brew naturally processed Ethiopian coffee.

Ente Amsterdam

The Jordaan has a cozy new eatery, or as they call it, your new nouveau pub. Whether you want to have a coffee with the newspaper or enjoy refined dishes with fine wines, it’s all possible!

2nd location De Laatste Kruimel

If you love homemade goodness, you will love De Laatste Kruimel! And if you’re an Amsterdammer, you probably know them, because they are quite popular among locals. Since April, they have opened a new location at Prinsenstraat 12!

Riot Restobar

Everything potato! Think potato bread, sweet potato pancakes, potato croquettes and the list goes on. It’s an all-day hotspot where you can go from early morning until late at night. 100% natural, predominantly vegetarian menu, and shared dining.

Cafe Soleil

We think the name of this Mediterranean cafe is fantastic. Amsterdam Noord has another hotspot with a huge terrace. Here, you can enjoy shared dining with dishes like chicken piri piri and tortillas.

Badcuyp

This new place is named after the fact that it used to be a bathhouse where people from Amsterdam could wash a long time ago. They cook over an open fire, have a wide selection of wines and they have plans for an oyster bar in the middle of the room.

Barlotta Amsterdam

A South European menu featuring 24 antipasti dishes! You’ll also find great meat and fish dishes, as well as classic dishes with a twist. They also have a wine shop where you can score your favorite wine to take home.

Bar Uyt

We’ve already been to this new place, and we liked it a lot! They have a big terrace that is sunny from 1 PM until sunset. In the kitchen, you’ll find a Spanish chef. They offer shared dining and have over 50 wines on the menu. Check out our video below!

Avelon Wijn en Spijs

This is a hidden gem—it’s actually a speak-easy restaurant! You access it by crossing through the wine cellar of the Bâtard wine shop. You choose the wine, and they prepare delicious dishes to pair with it.

Ferry Amsterdam

How about having dinner on a century-old ferry? Amsterdammers know this as the old Pont 13. They offer an exceptional dining experience and have a lovely terrace.

Roux Amsterdam

We love casual fine dining and an open kitchen! They emphasize Champagne and cooking with local products, which you can see reflected on the menu.

Restobar Jacob

This all-day hotspot will open at the beginning of April. It’s located in the former location of ‘De Dapper’ in Amsterdam Oud-West. This means they have an amazing terrace on the bridge in the sun :). You can come here for breakfast, coffee, brunch, dinner, drinks, and enjoy nice music! Expect contemporary European cuisine with small and medium-sized plates for sharing, featuring a good balance between plant-based options, meat and fish. We’re excited!

Ramen Fujitora

Ohh, we love ramen, and the city has just gained another fantastic spot. The owner’s aim is to provide an authentic Japanese experience! You can enjoy a bowl of ramen soup starting from € 17.50

Cafe Wu

Café Wu is a modern bistro, inspired by the Chinese cuisine and culture. They offer both a five-course menu and a concise à la carte menu. They work with specific Chinese products and local producers. Besides their love for food you can also enjoy their love for vinyl. 

The SIREN

In the heart of the city center, The SIREN will open its doors in April of this year. They will offer Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, where you can take a seat in their open kitchen, enjoy a fancy bar and experience live performances.

Vesp Amsterdam

At Vesp they want to surprise you with creative, local and seasonal dishes. You may have seen their chef, Wietse, before in the kitchens of restaurants like De Goudfazand, Pekelharing, or Rijsel. Try out their four-course surprise menu!

Larry’s Amsterdam

They began during the pandemic with a Bao Bun pop-up store and now they have opened their first permanent location. They have delicious buns on the menu with shiitake mushrooms, peking duck, vegetarian fried chicken and so on. 

Taco Lindo Amsterdam

Taco Lindo is a renowned street food truck at the Albert Cuyp market, but they have now opened their restaurant on Haarlemmerweg. You can watch them prepare the tacos on the plate in the open kitchen. We have to say, we absolutely love Taco Lindo’s tacos!

Bar Bounia

Bar Bounia at the Conservatorium Hotel is a culinary haven inspired by the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the New restaurants and cafes that recently opened up in Amsterdamspirit of La Dolce Vita. Whether you’re craving brunch, lunch or dinner!

Hamer & Vork

Coffee spot Mok in Amsterdam North underwent a transformation to become Hamer & Vork. A laid-back restaurant, once an old garage. Dine at the bar or choose a cozy table. They use seasonal ingredients in their cooking.

Trees Amsterdam

Trees Amsterdam takes you on a culinary journey with a changing menu of 4, 5, or 6 courses. The ground floor boasts chef’s tables, while the bar offers an à la carte experience and delightful cocktails. They have created a spectacular ambiance! 

Ela Restobar

Ela Restobar is the latest addition to the Jordaan neighborhood, welcoming visitors with its cozy and warm setting. The atmosphere has a touch of Parisian charm, offering a shared dining concept.

Petit Péché

With only 24 seats Petit Péché, the little sister of Café Beurre,  truly lives up to its name as a petit restaurant. They have three tables and bar seats overlooking the chef’s kitchen. Petit Péché offers à la carte options or a regularly changing menu, highlighting local ingredients and lesser-used parts of animals.

Bar Chimi

New in town Bar Chimi, where Moulin Rouge meets great food. The Bordeaux-red walls, chandeliers and disco balls set the stage for an amazing dining experience. Expect live saxophone, dancing and shared dining overlooking the Amstel. From 10 PM they slowly transform into a club called Olivia.

Café Baskets

The popular Baskets stores has expanded its offerings to open up Café Baskets in the Pijp area. Get great sandwiches, coffees and juices. All while surrounded by fashion and design items.

Oaxaca Amsterdam

Oaxaca Amsterdam serves authentic Mexican cuisine for lunch and dinner, accompanied by an all-day Mezcaleria (A bar specialized in serving mezcal, a distilled alcoholic drink from Mexico). The interior looks stunning if you ask us! We haven’t tried it yet, but we’ve heard great stories about the food.

Catua Bar 

In the former Tapas Theater building, you’ll now find Catua Bar, bringing together South American, South African and European flavors. They’ve created a vibrant interior! In addition to their dishes, they also offer a tempting selection of cocktails.

Nook Amsterdam

Nook Amsterdam stands out as a coffee and wine store with Argentine influences. Try some of their Argentine snacks or sweet treats like banana bread. Hidden in the cellar you’ll find a variety of wines.
