Keti Koti Emancipation Day – July 1
Celebrate and remember at Keti Koti, the annual emancipation event. Join the colorful Bigi Spikri parade in traditional clothing from Waterlooplein to Oosterpark to honor the abolition of slavery. After the parade, a remembrance ceremony takes place at the Slavery Monument in Oosterpark. Later, the Keti Koti Festival at Museumplein offers music, performances, and celebration across multiple stages.

TREK Food Festival – July 4 – July 6
Festival TREK transforms Amstelpark into a huge open-air restaurant, filled with food trucks, live music and theatre acts. From sushi to Surinamese bites, burgers to vegan treats.

Wallen Festival (Red Light District) – July 5 & 6
Wallen Fesitval offers a fresh look at the historic city center. Explore over 70 colorful activities throughout the Red Light District including live music, local food tastings, mini workshops, and visits to unique historic buildings. Vondelpark Open Air Theatre Amsterdam
Enjoy weekend performances in the park all the way through September. Every weekend brings something new: dance on Friday evenings, family-friendly shows on Saturday afternoons, comedy on Saturday nights, classical music on Sunday mornings, and pop music on Sunday afternoons. Entry is based on donations. Check their agenda for the specific shows every weekend.

Films With a View – until the end of September
Films With a View is back every Tuesday at Pllek until the end of September. Enjoy a variety of movies screened outdoors on the beach. Movies start about half an hour after sunset, and you can pick up your headphones 1.5 hours before the film begins. Tickets cost €10 and are available online; note that screenings only take place when the weather is dry.

Kwaku Festival – July 12 – August 3
Kwaku Festival celebrates multicultural culture with food, music, and events. Taking place in Nelson Mandela Park. It’s a great place to enjoy summer vibes, dance, and experience diverse cultures in Amsterdam.

De Parade Traveling Theatre Festival – July 25 – August 10
The world’s only traveling theatre festival will be back at Martin Luther King Park. With around 80 performances including theatre, dance, mime, and music there’s something for everyone. Most shows are specially created for the festival and can only be seen at De Parade.

Free open-air cinema – July 31 – August 1
During Pride week, you can enjoy films under the stars at different city squares. With 400 seats available per screening and a relaxed vibe, it’s a perfect way to spend your night!.

Pride March – July 26
