Trek Festival – July 3 until 5

For the past 12 years, the TREK Festival has been bringing good food, cold drinks and great vibes to Amsterdam’s Amstelpark. Expect many food trucks, live music, theatre performances and plenty of fun. Think of it as one huge open-air terrace filled with cosy wine bars, tasty bites and a fun atmosphere all day long.

Summer on the Rooftop @ NEMO until August 29

Enjoy summer evenings on NEMO’s iconic rooftop every Thursday from 25 June to 29 August. From 17:30 to 21:00, you can listen to live music by talented artists, enjoy great food and drinks, and take in one of the best views of Amsterdam. With a relaxed atmosphere and free entry, it’s the perfect place to spend a summer evening.

And you can start your weekend with a yoga class on the rooftop every Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning at 09:30. Enjoy the peaceful views as the city wakes up. The classes are paid, so make sure to book your spot in advance.

Keti Koti Emancipation Day – July 1 

The annual commemoration and celebration of the abolition of slavery. From 14:00 to 15:30, a remembrance ceremony takes place at the National Slavery Monument in Oosterpark, followed by a vibrant festival on Museumplein with live music, DJs, cultural performances, and plenty of food. 

Het Amsterdamse terrassen festival – July 23 until 26

Looking to combine sunshine with a great atmosphere? One of Amsterdam’s favourite summer terraces is back. Rembrandtpark transforms into a huge outdoor terrace where you can enjoy drinks, music, food, and plenty of dancing throughout the day.

Amsterdam Pride – July 8 until August 8

The city is hosting a month-long programme of events to celebrate Amsterdam Pride! Here are some of the highlights: 

  • July 19 – Pride Run
  • July 25 – Pride Walk from Dam Square and ends at Vondelpark with a party
  • July 29,30 – Open Air Film Festival at Mercatorplein
  • July 30 and August 1st – Street parties
  • August 1st – Canal Parade

Kwaku Festival – July 11 until August 2 

One of Amsterdam’s biggest cultural summer festivals, bringing together food, live music, sports, culture, and community in Nelson Mandelapark. Expect delicious Surinamese and international food, live performances, market stalls, and a lively atmosphere throughout the festival.
