For us, Easter is truly a time when we love to dine out for an epic Easter brunch with our loved ones. Over the past years, we of course gathered some favorites! From a Michelin restaurant to more laid-back vibes overlooking the Amstel River. Something for everyone. Don’t wait too long to make a reservation, as it’s popular in the city.
Cafe Restaurant de Plantage
This beautiful monumental building is the perfect spot for an Easter brunch! We really like that the restaurant has so many windows surrounded by greenery. The food is a 10/10.
Gertrude
Where to begin? The interior is absolutely amazing, they use seasonal ingredients, have an extensive wine menu and serve delicious French-style food!
Brasserie Marie
With a love for the French Riviera, you can enjoy fantastic dining at Marie in the heart of the city center! With a view overlooking the Amstel River, this is an exceptional spot for an elevated Easter brunch.
The Grand Easter Brunch
Have a brunch on Sunday at the beautiful historic council chamber of the Sofitel Legend the Grand. You can enjoy a big buffet filled with amazing dishes and fresh juices. Kids can enjoy The Grand Easter egg hunt with a special appearance by the Easter bunny, while parents relish in the backdrop of live music.

The restaurant is located in the beautiful coach house of Huize Frankendael. It’s truly a unique experience and they also have a stunning garden. Restaurant Merkelbach is dedicated to a pure and local cuisine, which we absolutely love! Highly recommended.
Bak Restaurant
GO for a 5, 7 or 9-course menu at Bak. This fine dining restaurant is situated on the 3rd floor of an old warehouse with a stunning view over the IJ river. At Bak, the chefs exclusively work with the finest products sourced from local farmers, hunters, fishermen etc. Book your brunch here.
Bar Botanique
Looking for a great laid-back vibe? For us, that’s definitely Bar Botanique! The restaurant is adorned with the most beautiful botanical plants, located in the heart of Amsterdam East. On the menu, you’ll find items like croque monsieur, scrambled eggs and falafel. Simple but good!
Ron Gastrobar
With 1 Michelin star this is a fantastic spot for a classic Easter brunch, in our opinion! When the weather is nice, they also have a spacious sunny terrace. Oh, and don’t forget to try their famous golden egg made out of chocolate.
Cantine de Caron
You’ll find this restaurant right in the heart of the renowned Westergas area, situated in an old machinery building. If you’re looking for excellent food, fine wine and great service you’re in the right place. You’ll feel immersed in delightful French atmospheres, perfect for an extensive brunch.
De Ysbreeker
With a view overlooking the Amstel River and houseboats, this place breathes Amsterdam! Perfect for a casual and enjoyable Easter brunch.
